How our rugs are made

• This collection is machine-woven (power-loomed) in Türkiye, imported directly by container to the United States.
• Hand-finished. Fringes are attached and finished by hand, edges are hand-serged or hand-bound, and fine border detailing is completed by hand after weaving.

• “Persian” names the design, not the country of manufacture.

This collection focuses on Persian-design rugs in contemporary palettes: muted cream-and-charcoal, soft blue-and-ivory, dusty rose, sage and taupe, plus abstract reinterpretations of classic Kashan and herati motifs, in 1.2M–1.5M-point construction. What makes a Persian design “modern”?

One of three traits: a contemporary colour palette (soft, muted or abstract), a stripped-back field with negative space, or an abstract reinterpretation of a traditional motif (medallion, herati or boteh). The motif vocabulary remains Persian — only the styling reads modern.

Are these rugs hand-knotted?

No — machine-woven at 1.2M–1.5M points in Türkiye, with fringes, edges and fine detailing finished by hand. Hand-knotted Afghan carpets are shown at the showroom by appointment.

Where are they made?

Do they work with mid-century modern furniture?

Yes — one of the most successful pairings in interior design. Walnut tones and clean lines benefit from the warmth of a Persian design, especially in lighter palettes.

What sizes are available?

Most pieces are stocked in 5.7×7.4, 6.5×10, 8.2×11.5 and 10×13 feet. 10×13 ft is the largest size we carry, and we sell from stock only — for a bigger room, two rugs side by side or a large rug plus runners works better than one oversized piece.

Can a modern Persian rug work in a minimalist room?

Absolutely — look for muted palettes and let the rug be the only patterned element in the space.
