How to Choose a Prayer Rug

A prayer rug should be soft, generously sized, and easy to keep clean. Here’s how to choose the right one for daily use or as a gift.

Size & Use

Standard prayer rugs measure approximately 75 × 120 cm — generous enough for prostration, compact enough to roll up and store. Thicker padding is gentler on knees and forehead.

Material & Feel

Soft microfiber pile is most common, followed by wool blends. Look for a non-slip backing for confident placement on hardwood, tile, or marble.

Care

Hand wash or use a gentle machine cycle in cold water with mild detergent. No bleach. Air dry flat away from direct sunlight.

Shipping is free on orders over $110 across the USA and Canada, and a flat $20 below that. Orders leave within one business day and arrive in 3–5 business days in the U.S. Sacramento-area online orders get free local delivery in 1–2 days.

What is your return policy?

30-day returns on online orders. Items must be unused, in original condition and in original packaging. The customer pays return shipping; if a rug arrives damaged or faulty, we pay. Approved refunds are processed within 3–7 business days.

Can I see the rugs in person before buying?

Yes. The showroom is at 3423 Watt Avenue, Sacramento, open daily 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM. We speak English, Turkish, Farsi, Dari, Pashto and Urdu, and the team can help with size and colour choices.
