Stylish Rugs Collection

Beige & Brown Rugs

Beige and brown are the colours people choose when they want the rug to stop arguing with the room. Camel, sand, taupe and soft brown sit close to the tone of wood floors and neutral furniture, so the pattern registers without the colour making a claim. This is a small, deliberately edited group — beige and ivory medallions, beige-and-cream florals, and light-brown floor seating — machine-woven in Türkiye.

What is in this collection

  • Ivory and beige medallion Persian rugs — the warmest version of a pale rug, and far more forgiving than a true cream.
  • Beige medallion-star and beige-and-cream floral Turkish rugs, from about $110.
  • Light-brown Arabic majlis floor-sofa sets for floor seating — sets, not area rugs. See Arabic Majlis.

How to work with beige and brown

The risk with beige is not that it is boring — it is that it disappears. If the rug, the floor and the sofa are all within a shade of each other, the room flattens. Put at least two clear steps of depth between the rug and the floor, or choose one of the designs with a defined darker border.

Beige is the most forgiving pale colour. Warm sand and camel hide dust, foot traffic and pet hair considerably better than cream or ivory, while giving you most of the same lift. If you want a light room and have a real household, this is the practical answer.

Watch the undertone against your floor. A pink-leaning beige on a yellow-toned oak floor is the combination that looks wrong without anyone being able to say why. Hold the shade against the actual boards in daylight.

Texture does the work colour is not doing. In a neutral scheme the pattern and the pile carry the interest, so the denser 1200-reed weaves are worth the difference here more than in a strongly coloured rug.

Popular sizes

8×10 for a living room, 9×12 for a great room or sectional, 5×7 for a bedroom. Shop 8×10 · 9×12 · 5×7 · runners, or see the rug size guide.

Answering your questions about beige and brown rugs

What is the difference between beige, cream and ivory here?

Cream is the palest and coolest, ivory sits just warmer, and beige carries a clear sand or camel tone. In practice the order of how well they hide daily wear runs beige, then ivory, then cream. If the room is busy, start at the beige end.

Will a beige rug look dated?

Flat, pattern-free beige carpet does. A beige Persian medallion does not, because the interest is in the drawing rather than in the colour — the same reason these patterns have outlasted every trend since they were designed.

What sofa colour works with a beige rug?

Almost anything, but give it contrast: charcoal, navy, deep green, or brown leather all read well. A beige sofa on a beige rug needs the rug to be clearly darker or clearly patterned, or the seating area will vanish.

Are these hand-knotted?

No — machine-woven in Türkiye with fringes and edges finished by hand. The design names describe the pattern, not the country of manufacture. Hand-knotted Afghan carpets are shown at our Sacramento showroom by appointment.

How do I clean it?

Blot spills with cold water and a drop of mild soap, working from the outside in. For a full clean, hose it down outdoors and lay it flat to dry, or take it to a carpet-wash service. Vacuum weekly without a beater bar.

This collection is small — do you have more neutrals?

Yes. Cream & Ivory and Grey hold most of our neutral range, and new designs land regularly in the 2026 collection. If you are after a specific shade, WhatsApp (916) 890-4077 and we will tell you what is on the floor.

Buying Guide

How to Choose the Right Rug for Your Home

A fine rug should feel beautiful, balanced, and practical for the way you live. Use this quick guide to choose the right size, color, material, and style.

Choose the Right Size

For living rooms, 8×10 or 9×12 usually frames the seating area. For dining rooms, choose a rug that extends at least 24 inches beyond the table.

Match Your Color Story

Burgundy and gold create a warm traditional look. Navy and cream feel elegant and modern. Ivory, beige, and soft tones help brighten smaller rooms.

Understand Rug Quality

Machine-made rugs offer consistent patterns, durability, and easier maintenance. Higher density and detailed weaving create sharper designs.

Shop by size

Not sure what fits? In a living room the rug should reach 18–24 inches past each side of the sofa. In a dining room, allow 24 inches beyond every chair so the chairs stay on the rug when they are pulled out.

Practical buying notes

What to know before buying a machine-made rug

Construction

The online catalog is power-loomed in Türkiye with hand-attached fringes and hand-finished edges. Each product page lists the exact construction, density, pile height and material.

Material & feel

A polypropylene pile on a cotton warp and weft — soft underfoot, colourfast, and far more forgiving of traffic and spills than wool.

Cleaning

Colourfast and water-safe, so a rug can be washed at home by hand or with a carpet-cleaning machine. Never in a washing machine or dryer. Day to day, vacuum on low with the beater bar off.

Best rooms

Living rooms, dining rooms, hallways, family rooms and majlis seating — anywhere you want a traditional look that survives daily use.

Hand-knotted

Genuine hand-knotted Afghan carpets are shown at the Sacramento showroom by appointment. They are not part of this online catalog.

Common questions

How much is shipping, and how long does it take?

Shipping is free on orders over $110 across the USA and Canada, and a flat $20 below that. Orders leave within one business day and arrive in 3–5 business days in the U.S. Sacramento-area online orders get free local delivery in 1–2 days.

What is your return policy?

30-day returns on online orders. Items must be unused, in original condition and in original packaging. The customer pays return shipping; if a rug arrives damaged or faulty, we pay. Approved refunds are processed within 3–7 business days.

Are these rugs machine-made or hand-knotted?

The online catalog is power-loomed (machine-woven) in Türkiye, with hand-attached fringes and hand-finished edges. Every product page lists the exact construction, density, pile height and material. Hand-knotted Afghan pieces are shown at the Sacramento showroom by appointment and are not listed online.

Can a rug be cut or bound to a different size?

We sell from stock rather than weaving to order, and the largest size we carry is 10×13. What we do in house is cutting, binding, overlocking and fringe work on a rug we already stock, so an existing piece can be trimmed to fit an alcove or a stair run. Ask us and we will tell you what is on the floor.

Can I see the rugs in person before buying?

Yes. The showroom is at 3423 Watt Avenue, Sacramento, open daily 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM. We speak English, Turkish, Farsi, Dari, Pashto and Urdu, and the team can help with size and colour choices.
