How we define "modern" here: rather than loud abstract weaves, these are Persian and Oriental-design rugs styled for modern rooms — the neutral, low-contrast end of our range. Many designers prefer exactly this: a refined classic pattern in a calm colour, grounding a modern space with a little soul. All are machine-woven on Turkish looms in densities up to 1,200 reeds / 2 million points.

What makes a rug work in a modern room?

Three things: a restrained palette (grey, greige, cream, soft blue), enough negative space in the design that it reads calm from across the room, and a low-to-medium pile that keeps lines clean. Solid-feeling neutrals and subtle medallions both work; busy, high-contrast borders can fight a minimalist space.

Blot everyday spills with cold water and a drop of mild soap; for a full clean, hose the rug down outdoors and lay it flat to dry, or take it to a carpet-wash service. What to know before buying a machine-made rug

Construction

The online catalog is power-loomed in Türkiye with hand-attached fringes and hand-finished edges. Each product page lists the exact construction, density, pile height and material.

Material & feel

A polypropylene pile on a cotton warp and weft — soft underfoot, colourfast, and far more forgiving of traffic and spills than wool.

Cleaning

Colourfast and water-safe, so a rug can be washed at home by hand or with a carpet-cleaning machine. Never in a washing machine or dryer. Day to day, vacuum on low with the beater bar off.

Best rooms

How much is shipping, and how long does it take?

Shipping is free on orders over $110 across the USA and Canada, and a flat $20 below that. Orders leave within one business day and arrive in 3–5 business days in the U.S. Free local delivery is available within 6 miles of our Watt Ave showroom.

What is your return policy?

30-day returns on online orders. Items must be unused, in original condition and in original packaging. The customer pays return shipping; if a rug arrives damaged or faulty, we pay. Approved refunds are processed within 3–7 business days.

Are these rugs machine-made or hand-knotted?

The online catalog is power-loomed (machine-woven) in Türkiye, with hand-attached fringes and hand-finished edges. Every product page lists the exact construction, density, pile height and material. We do not sell hand-knotted rugs.

Can a rug be cut or resized?

Yes — if you bought the rug from us. We can cut it down to a smaller size and re-bind the edges, and we also offer overlocking (edge finishing). We sell from stock: we don’t weave to order or join rugs, and custom sizes are coming soon but not available yet. If you are between sizes, ask us and we will tell you what is on the floor.

Can I see the rugs in person before buying?

Yes — the address and opening hours are listed just above. We speak English, Turkish, Farsi, Dari, Pashto and Urdu, and the team can help with size and colour choices.
