01Description
Underfoot first
Qom is the design reference here — the city historically associated with Iran's finest silk-rug production, known for refined, slightly curvilinear medallion drawing and very fine pattern detail. This version translates the design language without claiming silk provenance. The 2M-points construction sits lighter underfoot than the 3M premium tier, with the same brushed, silk-feel softness. Navy ground at this density reads deep without heaviness; the medallion's raised relief catches light in fine detail.
Designer pairing
Built for refined transitional and contemporary-classical interiors. Pairs especially well with mid-walnut, pale walnut, and white-oak floors. Upholstery: cream silk-blend (visually echoes the Qom reference without claiming silk-on-silk), soft pewter velvet, ivory linen, or a single cognac-leather accent chair for warmth. Polished nickel hardware preserves the refined register; brass shifts it more traditional.

Family / lifestyle
Refined design language asks for a refined room — this is a thoughtful-room rug rather than an active-traffic rug. Adult-led primary living rooms, bedrooms, and dining rooms suit best. Navy ground forgives pet hair and minor wear; the fine pattern detail rewards being seen, so furniture placement should leave the design visible. The silk-feel heat-set pile is genuinely kinder underfoot than wool.
Best for / Skip if
Best for: refined transitional living rooms, primary bedrooms, formal dining rooms, libraries, home offices.
Skip if: the room sees high-traffic everyday play from children — the fine pattern detail will be wasted under daily wear. Choose a denser-pattern sibling instead.

Fine-pattern work reads especially differently in person — the raised relief carries detail that flattens in photographs. Our Watt Avenue showroom in Sacramento has the line on display.

Origin & Heritage
Qom is one of the most refined names in Persian weaving — historically associated with very fine work, often in silk, with intricate medallion and prayer-arch compositions. Qom-style designs translate the city's ornamental language into pieces suited to everyday interiors: detailed, jewel-toned, and unmistakably Persian.
How It Feels Underfoot
This piece is built for living, not display. The high-density synthetic pile holds pattern definition cleanly underfoot — medallions and borders read sharp at floor level — and recovers from foot traffic, furniture impressions, and the small accidents of family life. The hand is soft and resilient; the cleaning brief is honest spot-and-vacuum rather than the slow ritual of a hand-knotted wool piece.
Designer Styling Notes
Qom palettes — deeper jewel tones, ruby and indigo and emerald — anchor formal rooms with a single decisive piece. Pair with brass, polished walnut, deep velvet upholstery, and warm metal accents. In a smaller study or bedroom, a Qom-style rug can carry the room on its own, with the rest of the palette pulled back to neutrals.

02Specifications
03Materials & Craftsmanship
This piece sits in the easy-care performance family — high-density polypropylene or polyester pile on a cotton foundation, precision machine-woven for sharp pattern definition with hand-finished edges. The construction is purpose-built for family-friendly living: stain-resistant, fade-resistant, low-maintenance, and forgiving of regular vacuuming and spot cleaning.
Patterns are inspired by Persian, Kashan, Tabriz, and Turkmen design vocabularies — reinterpreted in a soft synthetic blend that performs in high-traffic rooms without the maintenance commitment of a hand-knotted wool piece.
