Double-cream photographs spectacularly and reads luminous in any well-lit room, but it asks for clean-shoe discipline at the door, prompt spill response, and a willingness to vacuum more frequently than the dark palettes. Cotton's softer hand is genuinely kinder underfoot than wool — but this is decisively a thoughtful-room rug, not a kid's or pet's room rug.
