Stylish Rugs Collection

Runner Rugs

Persian and Turkish runner rugs for hallways, kitchens, staircases, and entries — Sacramento delivery. Sizes from 3×6.5 ft (91×200 cm) two-meter entry runners up to 3×16 ft (91×500 cm) long-corridor runners. Machine-woven on Persian and Turkish looms in classical medallion, floral, and modern-Persian patterns to handle daily foot traffic without sacrificing the look of a hand-knotted carpet.

Runner sizes in stock

  • 3×6.5 ft (91×200 cm) — 2-meter runner. Apartment entryways, short hallways, kitchen galleys, in front of double-vanity bathrooms.
  • 3×10 ft (90–100×300 cm) — 3-meter runner. Standard hallway runner. Most U.S. residential corridors fit this size cleanly.
  • 3×13 ft (91×400 cm) — 4-meter runner. Long corridors, kitchen-to-dining pass-throughs, mudroom-to-laundry transitions.
  • 3×16 ft (91×500 cm) — 5-meter runner. Open-plan corridors, gallery hallways, full-staircase wraparounds.

Where Persian runners work hardest

Front entry — a 2-meter or 3-meter runner takes the abuse of every visitor walking in. A washable microfiber-jute construction means you can clean it like a doormat but it reads as a designed entry feature.

Kitchen galley — Persian runners protect the floor in front of the sink and range, soften the standing surface for long cooking sessions, and pull together the color story between the dining room and living room rugs. Pair the runner pattern with your 8×10 living room rug for visual continuity.

Hallway — leave 4–6 inches of floor visible on each long side of the runner. Length should stop short of any doorway threshold by at least 6 inches. For most U.S. hallways: 3×10 or 3×13.

Staircase — a 3×16 wraparound gives you enough length for a full straight 12-tread staircase plus return; for L-shaped or U-shaped stairs, combine two runners with a landing piece. Use stair rods or hidden tackless to install.

Bedroom side — a 3-meter runner placed along the long side of a king bed gives soft footing first thing in the morning, especially if you have hardwood floors. For the full runner placement breakdown by room — hallway, kitchen, stair landing, and foot of bed — see our runner placement guide.

Most-loved runner styles this season

Classic Persian medallion (navy, red, cream) — the iconic hallway runner. Reads traditional or transitional. Works in homes with Persian area rugs in the living room.

Modern Persian (gray, cream, dark blue grounds) — softer color palette for contemporary homes. Sits naturally with neutral walls and modern furniture.

Kashan and Qom medallion runners — formal entry and gallery hallways. Pair with our Turkish Kashan designs in the living room.

2 Million Point luxury weave runners — top-tier construction with silk-like cotton sheen. Designer-grade for high-visibility hallways and stair runners.

How to choose a runner length

  1. Measure your hallway end-to-end (or staircase from top tread nose to bottom tread nose).
  2. Subtract 12–18 inches total for clearance at doorways.
  3. Round down to the nearest standard size: 6.5 ft → 2 m, 10 ft → 3 m, 13 ft → 4 m, 16 ft → 5 m.
  4. If your hallway is between sizes, choose the shorter one. A runner ending cleanly at a doorway looks intentional; one tucked under a doorway looks improvised.

Why our runners outperform big-box runners

  • Tight 1,200-reed and 1.5M-point weaves — pile recovers quickly under boots and pet traffic.
  • Microfiber-and-jute backing — durable, stable, professionally washable.
  • Bound or hand-finished edges — fringe and selvedge don't unravel even in high-friction areas.
  • True Persian and Turkish design language — not a stock pattern printed on a substrate.

FAQ

What length runner do I need for a 12-foot hallway? A 3×10 (3-meter) runner. Leaves 12 inches of floor showing at each end — the standard designer-recommended clearance.

Are these runners washable? All machine-woven runners in this collection can be spot-cleaned with a damp white cloth. Many can be machine-washed cold on gentle and air-dried — check the individual product spec table. For deep clean every 1–2 years, professional washing is recommended.

Do you have matching runner-and-area-rug sets? Yes — pair any classic Persian medallion runner with the same pattern in 8×10 or 9×12 for a coordinated look across hallway, living room, and dining room.

Will a runner damage hardwood floors? No, with a proper rug pad. Use a non-slip felt-and-rubber pad sized 4 inches shorter than the runner on all sides.

Buying Guide

How to Choose the Right Rug for Your Home

A fine rug should feel beautiful, balanced, and practical for the way you live. Use this quick guide to choose the right size, color, material, and style.

Choose the Right Size

For living rooms, 8×10 or 9×12 usually frames the seating area. For dining rooms, choose a rug that extends at least 24 inches beyond the table.

Match Your Color Story

Burgundy and gold create a warm traditional look. Navy and cream feel elegant and modern. Ivory, beige, and soft tones help brighten smaller rooms.

Understand Rug Quality

Machine-made rugs offer consistent patterns, durability, and easier maintenance. Higher density and detailed weaving create sharper designs.

Practical Buying Notes

What to Know Before Buying a Machine-Made Rug

Machine-made rugs are a practical choice for many homes because they offer consistent patterns, accessible pricing, and easier maintenance.

Density & Detail

Higher reed counts (1000–1500) produce sharper patterns. Our Persian-inspired collection is woven at 1200 reeds for crisp medallion definition.

Material & Feel

Modern machine-made rugs use polypropylene and polyester pile on a cotton warp — soft underfoot, stain-resistant, and naturally fade-resistant.

Easy Maintenance

Many of our designs are machine-washable at 30°C or spot-cleanable. No professional cleaning required for everyday upkeep.

Best Rooms

Living rooms, family rooms, dining areas, hallways, kid rooms, and apartments — anywhere you want luxury looks with practical wear.

Wool or Handmade

For heirloom investment pieces or formal sitting rooms with light traffic, ask about wool and hand-knotted options at the showroom.
