Faux Silk Calligraphy Dua Mat · Minyatur · DUA01B · 2027

Words worth keeping close

A dense block of calligraphy fills the centre, pale against a deep, even ground, with a smaller calligraphic panel set into the upper border. The flowers around it are drawn finely enough to reward a close look.

It is small enough for a shelf, a console, a prayer corner or a wall, and it makes a thoughtful gift for parents, for a return from Hajj or Umrah, for Ramadan and Eid, or for a new home.

Choosing a colour

• Dark Blue — calm and deep, with grey-toned script.
• Gold — warm and bright, with white script.
• Plum — rich and traditional, with white script.

Why this one

• A silk-touch surface. Viscose pile, very soft to the touch, with a sheen that changes with the light.
• Woven, not printed. The calligraphy is part of the mat itself.
• Finished with fringe at both ends.

Caring for it

• Dust gently with a soft brush.
• Keep it out of strong, constant sunlight.
• Keep water away: water can mark viscose and flatten its sheen permanently. Blot any spill at once with a dry white cloth, and never soak or steam it.
• Because it carries calligraphy, many families keep it raised, in a clean place, rather than on the floor.

We sell rugs; we do not wash, repair or re-fringe them, and we do not send them out on your behalf.

Size: 1.6 × 2.3 ft (50 × 70 cm) · Pile: viscose · Construction: machine-woven with fringe · Collection: Minyatur · Design: DUA01B · Colours: dark blue, gold, plum

Our prayer mats are made with soft polyester velvet-touch pile over foam padding, on a non-slip backing for confident placement on hardwood, tile, or marble. Patterns are sharp and inspired by traditional motifs from across the Muslim world.

The pile is thick enough to cushion knees and forehead during prostration, yet thin enough to roll up and store easily for travel.

• Spot clean with a damp cloth — do not machine wash
• Mild detergent only — no bleach
• Air dry flat, away from direct sunlight
• Do not iron the printed face
