Prayer Rug · Arman SEC21A · 2027

Room to be still

Most of this rug is left open. One calm colour fills the place where you stand, bow and prostrate, so nothing pulls at the eye during prayer. All of the pattern is kept to the edges and the arch above you.

The design

Blossoms and branches gather in the two upper corners and shape a rounded arch. A narrow floral border, with touches of red, navy and turquoise, runs all the way around and frames the plain centre.

Choosing a colour

• Beige — warm and light, with deep red in the corners.
• Grey — cooler and quieter, with navy in the corners.

Why this one

• A practical pile. Polypropylene is made for everyday use, and it does not need the careful handling a viscose rug does.
• A cotton backing. The pile is woven onto a cotton backing, and the rug folds and rolls away easily after salah.
• Proportioned for prayer. 2.5 × 4.1 ft (75 × 125 cm), with room to stand, bow and prostrate.
• An easy gift. It suits a new home, Ramadan and Eid, a return from Hajj or Umrah, or a new Muslim.

So you know exactly what you are buying: this is a new, machine-woven prayer rug with a polypropylene pile and a cotton backing.

Caring for it

• Vacuum gently on low suction, without a beater bar.
• Blot spills at once. Press with a clean, dry cloth, then spot-clean with a little mild soap and cool water.
• Dry it flat and away from direct sun before you roll it up.

We sell rugs; we do not wash, repair or re-fringe them, and we do not send them out on your behalf.

Our prayer mats are made with soft polyester velvet-touch pile over foam padding, on a non-slip backing for confident placement on hardwood, tile, or marble. Patterns are sharp and inspired by traditional motifs from across the Muslim world.

The pile is thick enough to cushion knees and forehead during prostration, yet thin enough to roll up and store easily for travel.

• Spot clean with a damp cloth — do not machine wash
• Mild detergent only — no bleach
• Air dry flat, away from direct sunlight
• Do not iron the printed face
