Rug Delivery to San Jose & the Bay Area: Free 3-5 Day Shipping

Free 3-5 business day rug delivery from Sacramento to San Jose, San Francisco, the Peninsula, East Bay, and Marin. Architectural recommendations for Eichlers, Victorians, lofts, and family homes — plus how to order with confidence.

Bay Area homes — from San Jose Eichlers to San Francisco Victorians, Palo Alto modernist remodels to Oakland industrial lofts — all share one thing: thoughtful interior design where the rug is a featured piece, not an afterthought. We deliver Persian-inspired and luxury rugs across the entire Bay Area within 3-5 business days, free.

Free 3-5 Business Day Delivery Across the Bay Area

Every rug we ship to a Bay Area address arrives free with delivery in 3-5 business days from our Sacramento warehouse — the same address as our Sacramento showroom. This applies to:

  • San Jose and the South Bay (Cupertino, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, Mountain View, Los Gatos)
  • San Francisco proper and surrounding districts
  • Peninsula cities (Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Atherton, Hillsborough, Burlingame, San Mateo, Redwood City)
  • East Bay (Oakland, Berkeley, Alameda, Walnut Creek, Lafayette, Orinda, Danville, Pleasanton)
  • North Bay (Marin County, Sonoma, Napa)

You receive tracking the moment your rug ships. Most customers track their order to the doorstep within a week of placing the order.

Why Bay Area Buyers Choose Stylish Rugs

The Bay Area has many rug retailers, including high-end design district stores. Customers consistently come to us because:

  • Better price per quality: Bay Area design district rugs often run 2-3x more than the same Turkish 1200-reed pieces from us
  • Free shipping on orders over $110 — most luxury rug retailers add $200-500 in delivery fees
  • 30-day returns on unused rugs: lay it out in your San Francisco apartment or San Jose home and send it back if it is not right. We do not run in-home previews or trials; the return policy is the mechanism.
  • Curated quality: Every rug is hand-selected at our Sacramento showroom, not mass-warehoused
  • Direct relationship: Phone or email our team for any question, no chatbots

Bay Area Home Styles and Recommended Rugs

Eichler Homes (San Jose, Palo Alto, Sunnyvale)

Eichler mid-century modern homes feature open-plan living, post-and-beam ceilings, and abundant natural light. Persian-inspired rugs in warm walnut, soft burgundy, or muted multi-tone designs add the textile warmth these glass-and-wood spaces need. 9x12 sized rugs work well in the typical Eichler living room.

San Francisco Victorians and Edwardians

Tall ceilings, ornate moldings, and dark hardwood floors. Traditional Persian medallion designs in burgundy, navy, gold, and cream palettes reinforce the architectural heritage. 8x10 rugs are typical for the narrower Victorian living rooms; runners work in the long hallways characteristic of Victorian floor plans.

SOMA and Mission Lofts

Industrial conversions with concrete floors, exposed brick, and high ceilings. Our largest 10x13 anchors the open spaces; past that, two zoned rugs beat one oversized piece. Bold geometric patterns and unexpected color combinations work better than traditional medallion designs in raw industrial spaces.

Marin County Mid-Century

Open-plan ranch homes with redwood paneling and view-oriented living rooms. Earth-tone Persian designs in cream, sage, and dusty rose complement the natural wood without competing.

Oakland Hills Craftsman and Hillside Homes

Built-in bookshelves, fireplace centerpieces, and dramatic windows. Persian-inspired rugs in deep navy, walnut, and burgundy ground these vertically dramatic rooms.

Walnut Creek and Lafayette Family Homes

Larger square footage, family-oriented layouts, often with kids and pets. Read our pet-friendly rug guide for material recommendations. Multicolor Persian medallions in mid-tone palettes hide minor wear while still looking sophisticated.

What to Know Before Ordering Online from the Bay Area

Color Accuracy

Photos can shift slightly due to monitor calibration. Our 1200-reed Persian-inspired rugs typically show:

  • Burgundy — deeper and richer in person than on screen
  • Cream — warmer (slightly more gold) than typical screen white
  • Navy — true to photo, sometimes with subtle teal undertones
  • Gold — more honey than yellow on most monitors

Bay Area customers can email us specific photos of their rooms and we will send back rug recommendations matched to your space.

Sizing for Bay Area Rentals

Many Bay Area renters are conservative about rug size due to apartment space. Our experience: an 8x10 in a typical 1-bedroom living room beats a 5x8 every time. The larger size makes the space feel more substantial. See our complete sizing guide.

Bay Area Hardwood Floor Considerations

Most Bay Area apartments and homes feature original or refinished hardwood. Good news: our rugs have a woven cotton backing and, at any size, hold their place without a pad at all — and we do not sell pads. For a rug from elsewhere with a slick synthetic back, use a felt-and-natural-rubber pad cut about 1 inch shorter than the rug on each side, and avoid PVC or mesh on older finishes, which can leave marks.

Sizing for Bay Area Rooms

Bay Area homes sometimes have unusual room dimensions. We carry standard sizes — 4x6, 5x8, 6x9, runners, 8x10, 9x12 — up to our largest stocked format, 10x13 ft (300x400 cm). We sell from stock only: no custom sizes, no special orders, no commissioned weaving. We do overlock edges, and we can cut a rug bought from us down to a smaller size and re-bind the edge; we do not join rugs, and we do not work on rugs bought elsewhere.

Working with a long Eichler living room or a tight San Francisco flat? Email us the dimensions and we will tell you which of our sizes actually works in that room — or whether none of them does.
