Product Information
01Description
From our Herat collection — a single stepped diamond medallion built up in concentric outlines, held inside a hooked lattice border.
Design
The centre is a stepped diamond — not a curved medallion but one drawn in squared steps, layer inside layer, the way tribal weavers build a shape on a loom without curves. Around it the field is filled with small hooked motifs, and the outer border runs a continuous X lattice that frames the whole piece. The drawing is entirely geometric: there is not a single floral element in it.

Washing and Care
The polypropylene pile is colourfast and water-safe, so this rug can be washed at home — by hand with a hose, mild soap and a soft brush, or with a carpet-cleaning machine. Rinse it clean, squeegee the water out with the direction of the pile, and dry it flat or over a rail; it will not shrink and the colours will not run. Do not put it in a washing machine or a tumble dryer — no area rug of this size belongs in one. Day to day, vacuum on low with the beater bar switched off, and blot spills rather than rubbing them.
Weight and Feel
At 2.6 kg per square metre over a 10 mm medium pile this is a medium-weight rug — dense enough to lie flat straight out of the roll and hold its shape under furniture, light enough that one person can roll and move even the large sizes. On a smooth floor, a thin rug pad will keep it from sliding.
Styling It
A centred medallion wants to be seen, so plan the furniture around it: sofa and chairs with front legs on the rug, coffee table small enough to leave the diamond visible. The all-geometric drawing sits well with straight-lined furniture, walnut, black metal and natural wool.
Best For
Living rooms, dining rooms, entry halls and majlis seating — rooms with space in the middle, where a centred medallion has room to read.
Origin & Heritage
Turkish weaving has its own long tradition — looser, often more geometric than Persian work, with strong colour and a distinctive feel for medallion-and-border layouts. The cities of Hereke, Kayseri, and Ushak each produced their own pattern languages. This piece is woven in Turkey in that lineage, drawing on classical Turkish design with a contemporary build.
How It Feels Underfoot
This piece is built for living, not display. The high-density synthetic pile holds pattern definition cleanly underfoot — medallions and borders read sharp at floor level — and recovers from foot traffic, furniture impressions, and the small accidents of family life. The hand is soft and resilient; the cleaning brief is honest spot-and-vacuum rather than the slow ritual of a hand-knotted wool piece.
Designer Styling Notes
Turkish palettes work across a wide range of interiors: warmer grounds pair with walnut and brass, cooler grounds with oak, linen, and brushed nickel. The slightly looser geometry sits well under contemporary furniture — a low-profile sectional, a travertine coffee table, a single sculptural floor lamp — without feeling formal.

03Materials & Craftsmanship
This piece sits in the easy-care performance family — high-density polypropylene or polyester pile on a cotton foundation, precision machine-woven for sharp pattern definition with hand-finished edges. The construction is purpose-built for family-friendly living: stain-resistant, fade-resistant, low-maintenance, and forgiving of regular vacuuming and spot cleaning.
Patterns are inspired by Persian, Kashan, Tabriz, and Turkmen design vocabularies — reinterpreted in a soft synthetic blend that performs in high-traffic rooms without the maintenance commitment of a hand-knotted wool piece.

08Frequently Asked Questions
How long does shipping take?
Free shipping on orders of $110 or more across the USA & Canada, and a flat $20 rate below that, with most orders arriving in 3–5 business days. Canada customers: customs duties or provincial taxes may apply at delivery.
What is your return policy?
30-day returns on online orders. The item must be unused, in original condition, and in original packaging. Customer pays return shipping. Approved refunds are processed within 3–7 business days.
Can I see this in person before buying?
Yes. Visit our Sacramento showroom at 3423 Watt Avenue, open daily 10 AM–7:30 PM. Call (916) 890-4077 to confirm availability of a specific piece.
How can I get help choosing the right piece?
Call us at (916) 890-4077, message us on WhatsApp, or visit our Sacramento showroom. We are happy to help you choose the right size, color, and style for your room.
How do I choose the right rug size?
For living rooms, an 8×10 or 9×12 frames the seating area. The rug should extend 18–24 inches beyond the sofa on each side. For dining rooms, choose a rug that extends at least 24 inches beyond the table.
Is this rug machine-made or hand-knotted?
Each product page lists the construction in Specifications. Most pieces are precision machine-woven with hand-finished edges; hand-knotted wool pieces are tagged accordingly and noted in the spec panel. Synthetic and cotton pieces are honest about their material — see the Materials & Craftsmanship panel for this rug.
Do you offer custom rug sizes?
We don’t weave rugs to order. 10×13 ft is the largest size we carry, and we sell from stock. What we can do in our Sacramento workshop is cut a rug down to your dimensions and re-bind the edges by hand. For a room bigger than 10×13, two rugs side by side usually works better than one oversized piece.
How should I care for my rug?
Vacuum weekly with the beater bar off, blot spills immediately with a clean white cloth, rotate 180° every 6 months, and have it professionally cleaned every 18–24 months.
