- Bring it in, or send photos to start. Visit the showroom with your rug, or text/email clear photos of the front, the back, and both ends along with anything you know about its history.
- We examine it in person. We read the weave, knot density, fibers, dyes, design, age, and condition — the details that determine origin and value. The best way to judge a rug is in our hands, in good light.
- You get an honest assessment. A clear identification and a fair market-value estimate, plus your options — cleaning, repair, or simply enjoying it with confidence.

How much does a rug appraisal cost?
Nothing. An in-person identification and honest market-value estimate at our Sacramento showroom is free and carries no obligation.
Do I need an appointment?
Walk-ins are welcome any day, 10:00 AM – 7:30 PM. For an antique or unusual piece, calling ahead at (916) 890-4077 lets us give you unhurried time with a specialist.
Can you appraise my rug from photos?
We can give a useful preliminary opinion from clear photos of the front, back, and ends. An accurate appraisal — especially of value — really needs the rug in hand, so we can read the knots, fibers, and dyes directly.
Do you give written appraisals for insurance?
Our in-showroom appraisal is a verbal identification and value estimate. A formal written appraisal for insurance or IRS purposes calls for a certified appraiser — we are happy to point you toward one.
