بينما كانت ورشات أصفهان الملكية تنسج الزخارف العربية المنحنية بخيوط الحرير والذهب، كانت ورشات جوشقان على بعد مئة كيلومتر شمال غرب تقوم بالعكس تماماً: شبكة ماسية صارمة تمتد على كامل السجادة، وردة صغيرة منمقة داخل كل ماسة، وإطار مزخرف متعدد المستويات لإغلاق التكوين. النمط متسق للغاية عبر القرون لدرجة أن "تصميم جوشقان" هو اختصار له في التجارة. هذه القطعة هي قراءتنا لهذا النسيج بكثافة 1200 قصبة.
