Our Promise
Buying a rug online means trusting how the color, scale, and texture will look in your actual space. We get it. That's why every online order comes with a 30-day return window — once your rug is delivered, you have a full month to live with it. If it doesn't work for any reason, send it back for a full refund.
How to Return Your Rug

Contact us within 30 days
Email info@stylishrugs.us, call (916) 890-4077, or message us on WhatsApp with your order number and the reason for return. Within 1 business day, we'll reply with return instructions.

Pack the rug in its original packaging
Roll the rug as it arrived, place it back in the original sleeve or box, and include any tags or paperwork that came with it. This protects the rug in transit and ensures full refund eligibility.

Ship it back to our Sacramento warehouse
Use the return address we provide. We recommend insured ground shipping with tracking. Keep the tracking number — once we receive and inspect the rug, your refund is on the way.

Receive your full refund
Once we receive the rug and confirm it's in returnable condition (typically within 1–3 business days of arrival), we process your refund to your original payment method. Refunds typically post within 3–7 business days.
Return Conditions
To qualify for a full refund, your rug must meet all of the following:
- Returned within 30 days of the delivery date
- In its original condition — unused, undamaged, and free of stains, pet hair, or odors
- In its original packaging with any tags still attached
- Not modified — no custom binding, cutting, or alterations
If the rug arrives back to us with significant wear, stains, damage, pet hair, or smoke odor, we may apply a partial restocking fee or, in severe cases, decline the return. We'll always reach out before making this decision.
What's Not Eligible for Return
- Custom-cut or made-to-order rugs — these are produced specifically for your dimensions and cannot be resold
- Items used or visibly worn — including rugs that have been walked on extensively, vacuumed, or used in high-traffic areas
- Items returned after 30 days from delivery
- Final sale items — clearly marked at the time of purchase
- Items returned without prior contact — please always email or call before shipping a return
Return Shipping Costs
Customer pays return shipping for standard returns. We recommend insured ground shipping (FedEx, UPS, or USPS Priority) with tracking. Return shipping cost is your responsibility unless the rug arrived damaged or defective.
Damaged or defective on arrival? We cover return shipping. Email us photos within 48 hours of delivery and we'll send a prepaid return label.
Refund Processing Time
Once your returned rug arrives at our Sacramento warehouse:
- Inspection: typically 1–3 business days after we receive the package
- Refund issued: within 24 hours of inspection approval
- Money in your account: 3–7 business days after refund is issued, depending on your bank or card issuer
Refunds are always returned to the original payment method used at checkout. If your card has changed, the refund will be applied to the new account associated with the original card.
Exchanges
Want a different size, color, or design instead of a refund? We're happy to arrange an exchange:
- Contact us within 30 days with your order number and the piece you'd like instead
- We'll confirm availability and arrange the swap
- You ship the original back; we ship the new piece once we receive yours
- If the new piece is a different price, we'll either refund the difference or send an invoice for the balance
Damaged or Defective Items
Every rug is inspected before it leaves our showroom and carefully packed. In the rare case that your rug arrives damaged or has a manufacturing defect:
- Take clear photos of the damage and the packaging
- Email them to info@stylishrugs.us within 48 hours of delivery
- We'll send a prepaid return label and arrange either a full replacement or a refund — your choice
You won't pay return shipping in these cases, and the refund or replacement is issued as soon as we receive the original rug.
Order Cancellations
Changed your mind before your rug ships? Call us at (916) 890-4077 within 1 hour of placing your order. If the rug hasn't shipped yet, we'll cancel it without any charge.
Once a rug has shipped, we can't recall it — but the standard 30-day return policy applies the moment your rug is delivered.
Sacramento Showroom Purchases
Returns for in-person showroom purchases follow our store return policy — typically exchange or store credit within 14 days. The 30-day online return policy applies only to orders placed through this website. For showroom returns, please call ahead or stop by during business hours.
Late or Missing Refunds
If 10 business days have passed since we confirmed your refund and you still don't see it in your account:
- Check your original payment method statement carefully — refunds sometimes appear as a separate transaction
- Contact your bank or card issuer; refund timing varies by institution
- If the refund still hasn't appeared, email us at info@stylishrugs.us and we'll follow up with our payment processor
